Hello and welcome to the forum. On the clubbing, maybe some New Yorkers will chime in. On the average, though, it is "watch your back" and be very careful for yourself, especially if you have no trustworthy friends to host your party visit there in NY. Other than advocating your being very careful, I wish for you a safe journey and stay in the U.S.
