Thread: Rumor problem - the cause to all this mess!

Congratulations to you all for having one of the members explain it to me they way one should have. Oldskiier and i had a chat on the phone.

His saying was that the main reason for this mess is that some members here post lies in the rumor section, and post it as if they are facts... LOL. that should not happen. This caused people to be tired of some individuals, while other supported the posters of such facts... Grouping started. And there you go... It was all on.

I did honestly not know that. No member, nor mod took the time to explain me this part.
I was myself today frustrated with what the hell is going on???? Why are people so against each other?
I dont even know who is in what group here, and who is who.. This is mainly coz i am a medical student and cant be in the dinar section to clear such mess when it starts.

I sure hope now that a few of you could have told me about it once it started. Now is kind of hard to work with it, as when minds form, and one starts to dislike one other member due to reasons stated above, then it becomes very hard for the admin of the site to jump in 1 year later to clear the mess up.

Still those that were banned today were probably most frustrated members, like myself. But not respecting our TOS is not an option if you will want to stay a member of rolclub. I dont like to ban anyone.. How often have you ever seen me come into the dinar section and change anything? How often????????????????

My request to all is simple. Be fair,be honest, and drop the hate totally.... I know it will be hard, but for now i will monitor the rumor section daily myself. Some rumors can not contain a link or no proof once a while. But its not totally right to post rumor after rumor and not have any proof at all for your claims...

One way to look at it that work for me is that, i dont use to go to often into the rumor section. I like facts myself, and therefor do reading on the sections where the facts are. Rumors (lies) can be right or wrong, so its not exactly right of anyone to get mad about them in the first place.

Jealousy: Well some of us that like the facts would get jealous in sense of reading how well some rumor posters are doing.
Some would be mad coz these people spread "lies/rumors" to gain memberships trurst as the other party says...
It does not have to be totally-> jealousy, but reasons like people have invested lots of money in the dinar. They really count on the correct information to be posted....

Of 3 major dinar forums , i was explained that most rumors are posted on RC with no proof at all, am i right? That will have to stop.. You should try to have some kind of a real claim for your rumors to appear if you want most of the members to understand why you posted this, and gather support or whatever you want...

Its a hard issue to deal with now at this time when groups have been forumed. But lets all try to not badmouth each other in this thread. Show respect for others, and try to come to what went wrong... Name calling will not be tolerated of any kind.
Please just calm down,and make your post so most of us understand and diffuse some tension, and see past the forumed groups, and get back to what we all want.. The information...

I honestly dont take any sides in this conflict. Nor do i want to see this conflict here any more on RC.
What i am offering here is all to raise their thoughts on what went wrong, and offer something in sense of how to solve the issues. The only side i will be taking in the end of the day is RC and our Rules.. Please dont break them, and all is cool.

I offer my apologies to those that had nothing to do with this, and still got caught up in the middle of this all. What i did was due to some hardliners having one ip of a member stolen through a mod, and using it wrong..

I did not accuse anyone mate. All i want in this thread is for members to clam down and keep an open mind about what went wrong, so that there were groups formed in our dinar section of RC. Dont want any more of that. And just need your true advice to come ahead for all to see and all your indvidual opinions will be a part of solving this mess...

A member sent me this as explanation to what started all this mess. I will not post who this is, as i don't intend him/her any harm. But is this the only reason we have this grouping of members? you be the judge.

what started all this mess .. somewhile back ago someone in the chat room ( i think it may have been ck) post something in relationship to a rumor that was going on at the time ck supposedly had gotten this info from here " aussie friend" ( not that i cared one way or the other i stopped taking rumor seriously a long long time ago) now to avoid placing her friend who she got the info from out there she asked that no one repeat what they had heard. someone ( i think it was h20 but really have no proof ) called sgs and told her over the phone ( even though she was in the chat room with them at the time ) and susie like shes known to do takes it upon herself to tell everyone here about it ( which if i remember correctly may have gotten cks friend fired ) in response to that ck banned susie for what she did. in response to her getting banned susie came here and posted that it was a super secret chat room that did this and that. and kept it like vegas ( what happens in here stays in here ... You should still be able to find the post ) now susie has a lot of friends/followers/reasearchers here who took what susie said about the chat room as fact ( a bit one sided but fact no the less ) and the chat room because a super secret cult... now with susie out of the chat room and people still giving her chat logs from the chat room ( it was a real mess here over her being banned ) ck started banning anyone who may have given her infomation or been friends with her ( not the best approach in the world ) and then that kicked off the people who were all upset over being banned. and some who were unfairly treated. thats what kicked off the whole ck/sgs beef. you ( i may not have this completely right so sorry in advance) sent neno over there to be your rep so to speak but the damage at the time had already been done and it was seen as neno taking sgs's side which resulted in a ban ( again not the smartest idea in the world ) and then thats where you and rc go involed . the rest is someone fanning the flames or taking ck or sgs side in this whole beef.

but thats what started all this.. the rest again is just people taking one side or the other.. or the few who have really had gotten tired of hearing of it one way or the other.. and it just gone from bad to worse

Please do, i dont wanna be seen as taking one side or the other and as soon as its posted keep in mind it may start an arguement!.. ohh and i may be wrong on some parts but as i see it thats how it went down.

Argument for sure will be started, but i hope its a sensible one for all to understand what is the cause of this mess.. And then later suggestions on how to deal with this.

The biggest problem I have seen over the last few months is that some folks either had something against the poster, or grew impatient with the rumors coming out. They would then post a somewhat borderline attack against that particular poster or rumor. It seems there is a select number of folks that made this a fairly regular habit. When someone would post back questioning the attack, then the person that started it would turn on whoever replied. I know myself that I have been guilty of replying to one of these "attacking" posts. A lot of us have. When we know it should have been ignored. It is just hard to sit back and watch someone that you regard as a friend get attacked for seemingly no reason. Sometimes we retaliate to try and defend a friend instead of just reporting the post to the mods. For the most part with a few exceptions, we all need to do better. I know sometimes I do. JMO

I for my sake had mrsCK and Archangel as mods here a while. I did not have anything bad to add to anyone. Suddenly i got an Pm about them wanting to resign as mods. So i removed their mod status and sent them a thank you PM on Rc.

After a while Neno got banned in there, and i was like Whats going on.
I was approached by both sides. When it came to sgs she was calm and didn't say to much and backed down.

When it came to mrsCK, the most harm was done in our trust by her right hand if i may call it archangel, that acted like a jurk to be honest..
So i bad them two. Later lndmn_01 unbanned them on RC, and i saw this through the fingers for a while without saying anything more, hoping that this will resolve. But then again Next i new was that Neno had a real reason to ban mrsCK from RC. And now the confusion was high in the chat room, so people were talking a lot. Some of what made me mad about it was that, a member Pm'ed me saying one of our moderators sent a death threats to his wife. I asked lndmn what had gone wrong. And even spoke with him on the phone. I had heard rumors about lndmn using his mod status to favor mrsCK's chat. They used him for banning people here, Used him for getting ips of members as to track down who where the posters of their private chat room transcripts on RC, to get them banned. It would be nice to ask me first if i was okay with it, which i would anyway turn down, as per our user privacy policy, but at least they would not do anything illegal.

lndmn assured me that all was well and nothing wrong was done.
Next day when i come online on RC, i see many more frustrated members, and my first thought is what the hell did i do to deserver all of this?

Next a member contacted me and told me he/she had the chat where indmn has given out a ip to the chat room. Now that is stealing private information from our database for its wrong use..

Next you saw was many band on Rc for members stating that this was nothing wrong to break our privacy policy...

That is what i know about it.
