    Default Prayers for a Soldier

    Hi All!
I wanted to share this with our forum, as I believe we have the most wonderful people here. On September 14, my children were in a walk-a-thon fundraiser for their school, when they came home, all they could talk about was the Soldier that was in the walk-a-thon with them. He definitely left a lasting impression. Today, we received a note from the school, I have left out the names, but you will understand.

SSgt. xxxx xxxxxxxxxx who was here to lead our students in some light calisthentics during our recent Walk-a-Thon has been seriously wounded in Iraq. There was an explosion that blew up SSgt. xxxxxxxxxx's Humvee and he was one of two soldiers to survive the blast. However, he was seriously wounded. From the Bahgdad hospital he was flown to Germany and eventually on to an excellent burn unit in San Antonio, Texas. The family has asked for prayers for his recovery.

I post this, as I know we have a very caring family. Please add him to your prayers. He and his family will need them.

Oh yes prayers and best wishes for him and his family, and God bless this soldier, his family and the men and women who are still there and those who will be going.

Default Remembering the fallen and those injured!

A special prayer for your soldier friend, the Good Lord knows his name, that is all that matters; He hears our/your prayers.

Matthew Chapter 21: 21 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.
22: And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

    A Soldier's Prayer

    A Soldier's Prayer

Last night I heard a soldier cry,

His face was turned up toward the sky.

I saw him there, on bended knee,

And felt his pain as he strived to see…

He prayed to God, and I saw the glisten,

Of a teardrop, as he begged him to listen.

He asked for guidance, in a world gone astray,

And I heard his words, ‘Please show us the way..

To live in peace and love again,

And bring this war to a sudden end.

I know the burden that I lay on you,

But guide us now, in the things we do.”

And suddenly there were signs all around,

That God had heard, though at first not a sound,

For high above a dove did appear,

A lily bloomed, and a light came near.

A Voice answered then, from all around,

“Grieve not my friend, for you have found,

The answer lies in forgiveness, it is true,

Love your fellow man and they will love you.”

And the soldier felt a fleeting, gentle touch,

That raised him up, and soothed him much.

He listened in wonder as he heard God say,

“Your prayers will be answered, in a new day.

For when you ask, and seek solace from me,

I will guide you until your soul is free.

Be not afraid, and rejoice in my care,

Take comfort in knowing that I am there.”

    Exclamation So sad!!!!!!!!!!!

That is so sad, as I was reading that. Tears filled my eyes! I cannot wait for all of this. Sick violence to be over with...............

So sad, a fund definitely would be great thing to do! To help these people! Plus things like this, and that. No amount of money will ever fix! So many of these people will be permanently scared! Not only on the body but also in the mind! So so sad!

My heart goes out to all of the people. Affected by this war, and all of the other wars!

Wars are nasty and sick business! Brings out the worst in mankind!

I too will be in fervent prayer for our soldiers, their families and the Iraqi people and may God be glorified in all of this. I know we may never understand in this world, but we live today for a better day with Christ. Miracles and Blessings to all.

    Cool Reason to give back...

I believe that we have the power and the resources or we SHOULD SOON have these resources to give something back. We can all say we are going to give this or give that, but I think we can lean forward here and discuss what we are REALLY going to do for our soldiers. I am willing to give a percentage of every dollar I make off of this investment. I am a veteran. I am also a disabled veteran. I have had friends seriously injured there in the desert. Fricking heart wrenching stories I assure you. If someone wants to start a new thread to toss some ideas around.....I think that would be great. I will just toss a number out there ............. 5%......what do you guys think? I would think we could get this forum as a group to give an enormous amount of money. I say take it to all the forums and make a pledge..... but what do I know.
