    Lightbulb Ways to help others after this pegs

    Hope this is OK just though that after this pegs we would need some ideas for how to give back and show our generosity to those in need

    Iraq: Help Children In Iraq By Donating Shoes, Clothes

    Topic: Iraq
    By Ellen Jones

    Benicia, Calif - Our soldiers serving in Iraq are seeing the poorest of the poor among the the world's children. Many don't even have shoes on their feet. If you would like to help these children, read on. No matter what your personal opinion of the Iraq War is, this is an opportunity to directly affect the lives of poor children and improve their conditions.

    "Everything would be going to some of the poorest kids in Iraq," said Stuart Nichols, an Air Force serviceman, serving at Balad Air Base in Iraq. "We saw a kid yesterday run up and over a pile of cinderblocks that were piled along side the road and he did it barefooted. I don't know about you but my feet began hurting the second I saw that."

    Here is a list of items the children need:

    * Kids small dark sunglasses
    * Kids small reading glasses
    * Kids wind breakers
    * Kids rain coats
    * Kids pajamas

    Clothes (specifically)

    * Track or running suits the cheapys from Wal-Mart
    * T-shirts and shorts (soccer shirts are huge over here)
    * Sandals or flip flops

    "The cheapys last long enough over here because the weather and the sun are so harsh that nothing really stands up longer than a year or two max," said Nichols.

    The sizes are mainly Kids 6-12 and if possible as unisex as possible because until the girls get old enough they dress pretty much like the boys," he added.

    Either combat or peacetime Americans are always willing to help out the oppressed and do the right thing," Nichols said.
