I don't get to the forum much these days... only when I get the emails that there's something important to read!! As someone said a couple of days ago on another forum, many people are 'forumed-out' these days! And I think that's where I'm at...
But that having been said, count me in on this one. I just read through this entire thread and there are some great suggestions here... the only thing that I'd add is that if this is going to be done via a website, take your time and get it right the first time! There have been so many sites out there that have been started, then taken offline for script issues, then back online, only to go offline again within days. It quickly ruins the credibility of any sort of 'program' or company. So take as long as you need guys before you launch this...
Another thing... many sites appear to have problems with their members not receiving emails, and that causes no end of headaches and heartaches all round... How about setting up a private email system right off the bat for this, or at least making it a requirement that people sign up with a secure email service like Hushmail? No Yahoos, gmails or any other 'general public' sort of mail services, but something professional and secure...
