Uniclear is closed because of the following;

We have again been hit with yet one more Bank account freeze by Wachovia and Barclays of London.
Bellow is a direct quote from UniClear:

The GBP account at Barclays is frozen also due to the same fraud crap from E-Bay and until the account is closed and all claims settled they refuse to release anything.
Now for the bad news.... Wachovia did not process ANY of the wires Carol worked so hard to process. They have blocked the account and have advised me that the reason is that the police have put a lean on the account. I was able to obtain a phone number for the police but when I called, the lady I talked to had no idea what it was about and her supervisor was not available. I have not heard anything from police nor from Wachovia at all. I have therefore contacted our attorney in the USA who will now take up this matter on our behalf. I just cannot believe they can do this without serving us on anything but I am sick to death of the USA government and Wachovia Bank.

Our lawyers have been contacted and will start working on the issue Today {Monday the 9th ]
We have been processing what ever we could but have run out of all available funds. Until the accounts at Wachovia are frozen there is nothing further we can do, and as a result we need to SUSPEND ALL TRANSACTION until such time that funds become again available.
We are in the process of setting up banking facilities in Europe to get away from this ridiculous situation that is presenting itself on the North American Continent including all the Islands around it. This setup should be done in the second half of January and as soon as the funds are unfrozen will be moved over to these European banks and all outstanding withdrawa! l reques ts will be completed at that time.
Rest assured that ALL withdrawal requests will be met once funds are made again available; this reassurance has also been extended to KUM management.
We have approached KUM management for a possible interim bailout but unfortunately they too are NOT in the position to bail us out at this time .
However as we cannot send out funds as none are available, we need to ask all of our clients to be patient with us and allow us to repossess the blocked funds so we can carry on with our obligations. Once again please understand we WILL DO ALL withdrawal requests once the funds become available.

The rumour is that they are having a DDOS attack, but i'm not too sure.
I received an e-mail from them to say that I have an I-Mail and to log in to read it.
Not much use if you can't log in!
People on other forums have reported that they can log in, but most can't.
Suppose we just have to wait?

I emailed them about their debit card. got a reply yesterday but still can't access their site.

I just deposit bunch of money into uniclear along with other pips members I know. How are we going to buy our lotto tickets now? This was the last bit of money we had ,now its lost.danny

I just logged into Uniclear after receiving email to say I had i-mail.
It seems they are now using a PIN system.
The i-mail says that they have been under DDOS attack and that some may be able to login and others not.

I have managed to contact Uniclear and received the following email in response.
Dear Bryan,
The following is a copy of the imail that was sent to your Uniclear
account. It may help explain your lack of access:
Since Sunday January 8th UniClear has come undera massive DDOS
(Distributed Denial Of Service) attack. This temporarily shut down our
server. Right now some people are able to access the site and others are
being blocked because the subnet node they are using is also being used
by the attacker. If you can access this and know folks who can't please
let them know.
In addition, we have become aware that several accounts have been
compromised by criminals. In response to this, we have disabled the
ability to modify personal profiles on accounts as well as the e-gold
withdrawal system. We encourage you to keep a close eye on your
accounts, and all users to please log into their accounts and verify
that any details have not been modified. We are adding in compulsory
e-mail notifications for most account activities, and you are requested
to inform us immediately if you notice activity which you have not
authorised.
When accessing the UniClear Express site, always verify that the URL you
are accessing starts "https://www.uniclear.com/" - any other URL is a
clear indication of a phishing or man-in-the-middle attack. Never click
on a URL in an e-mail message that you have any reason to distrust, and
always verify the URL once the browser opens.
Finally, we request all users to take due care with their own computers.
When running a Windows-based computer, it is becoming increasingly
important to run sufficient firewall and anti-virus software, which can
greatly reduce the risk of your account being compromised.
The main thing EVERYONE needs to know if that not one cent was lost in
client funds due to this attack - which we believe is mounted against us
by a competitor to shut down UniClear. We appreciate your trust and
support and hope you will be patient as we work through these problems.

After all, it may not be the best payment processor.
I joined UniClear and GreenZap just a few weeks ago simply because you accept these processors for your lotto program. Bryan, have you considered other forms of accepting payments and paying out bonuses and commissions?
