Let me answer you this way. First, you are not going to get $55,000 for $30 or whatever amount they say. In short, you are not going to get rich quick. The only ones getting rich quick are the ones who have you send "them" your money. They win, you lose.

As to what kind of investments? That is difficult to answer not knowing how much you have to invest, and the types of risk you are willing to assume. One of the best long-term investments has always been real estate. Now I don't mean just any real estate, but real estate that has proven growth and return on your investment. I am not advodating this, nor do I get anything from saying this, but if you are really interested in real estate, then you might want to give YB's program a look. Again it will depend on what you have to invest, and how long you want to wait for your return. Some areas right now is not the place to be in real estate. You have falling prices, declining values, and unless you can pop down 20% of the purchase price, you won't even have a chance at getting a loan to buy. Since I don't know where you live, you would have to determine if this is a viable investment option for you or not.

If you have modest means of investing, then I would highly suggest you do this in stages. First, find a good paying interest rate on a CD (Certificate of Deposit), but don't tie your money up for more than 6 months. I would also look into different types of Mutual Funds. Some have a very low entry fee to enter, but again use this for a run of 6-12 months. With Mutual Funds, you need some time for them to perform, and this will not happen overnight. You must find those funds that have performed well in up and down markets.

Most of all you want to diversify. Do not put all your money in one investment. This way you can prevent a huge loss should your investment not do well.

Those are just a few of the things you can consider. I cannot be more direct as I do not know what you can and can't do as far as investing. At least with CD's, you have a guaranteed rate of return, and you will end up with more money than you put in at the end. This may be your only choice right now until you can accumulate enough capital to begin diversifying into other investments.

No you are not in trouble with them having just that information. They could get that from any telephone book. When you start providing them your personal information: bank account, bank routing number, social security number, passport number, personal identity card, date of birth, etc.. can they really begin to do any damage.

As Paddy stated in his post, just because you send this information to someone does not necessarily mean you will be subject to identity theft. But it can. It really depends on the honesty of the people to whom you sent the information to in the first place.

Here you are being asked to provide information to total strangers who have not been disclosed to you. You cannot check them out, you have no Trust name, no insurance company name, no lending institution name, no contact person other than Stella. Even then all you know is her name and E-mail address; and you really don't know if that is a real name, if she is a she, if she is more than one person, etc..

You are now being asked to provide them your personal banking information, which includes your bank account number and bank routing number. You are also providing them with your signature. This would provide anyone who is not honest a means to totally wipe out your bank account, and in essence be doing it with your permission. Now don't get me wrong. I am not saying they will do this, but it is possible and you provided them the information and the means to do it.

That is a fair insight and view from Lynn and please bear in mind too.... Real Estate is NOT the only option...there are loads out there that offers good returns as well as VERY slow but safe turnovers... question is how much have you, how patient ARE YOU and what do you understand when you Invest for a secure income....???

Those that promises and guarantees you a windfall....those are being reckless, callous and not honest... stay away from them... we too, as Real Estate are careful not to advocate that Real Estate is your outcome... we deal with those who are careful with their funds, usually, and most of them have their Investment specialists (sitting in Financial circles and in Banks) screen our markets and properties...that are in Thailand.

Thats our security and we are happy they do that...for they again are in an upper level with more serious Investors that hovers out there and they approach our options after making serious comparisons around...

It all depends on what you know, where to look for and just what is your main intention when investing or buying or becoming a Pro-Buyer investor to reap in Rental returns in a big or smallish way... we get to meet all... usually with a guided Investment Tour we organize...thats when we get to meet face to face and know more, and they too know more and see the true transparent facts waiting to be of serious service to your hard earned money...

Well folks thanks for the advise. Not much that have not heard before but for a retired guy whoes money runs out before the month investing in your options is out of the question. I guess that is why things like PIPS and GPP and many others to numerous to mention here seem to appeal to me. Not looking to be a millionaire but would be nice to make a few hundred a month some how.

Just a thought for you to consider. How about getting a part-time job, and take the earnings and start depsositing it in a savings account. When you get enough to open up a CD, then do so. Continue to put the earnings in your savings account while your CD is working. Then when you have enough in your savings account again, then these funds to your CD when you renew. This will increase your deposit into the CD, which in turn will earn you more interest. Continue doing this until you have enough to diversify to a Mutual Fund and the CD. Continue doing this until you have the funds to invest in Real Estate or other "real" investments to continue the diversification process. You will be surprised how quickly it all adds up. That's the power of compounding interest. Hope this helped.

Now let me see if I have gotten this straight. When GPP burst on the scene they made this big deal about how professional they were, how they had all these contacts in the financial arena, etc. But don't take my word for it, here it is straight from the horse's mouth, so to speak, and I quote:

Now here is the lastest from these "pro's" and their so-called contacts within the financial world, and I quote: "The delay in creating and completing the banking solution is caused by the current turbulent times in the international banking. The initial plan was to provide an anonymous debit card for all the members, but such a thing doesn't exist anymore. After that we started working on the banking solution, but the ever-tightening Due Diligence procedures have slowed us down. We are working with one bank at the moment to find the solution to comply their requirements concerning the member/client accounts, but it looks like the time is running out."

Now I bolded points above for a reason. They have had 3 YEARS to put this together, and they are just now realizing there aren't any anonymous debit cards? They have had 3 YEARS to work out the banking solution, and they are now just finding out banking due diligence is more difficult today? This has been the rule since 9/11. The banking conditions today are no more turbulent than 5 years ago. It is not new, and it certainly didn't just happen overnight. Curious as to why they aren't using the bank in Latvia, or the unlicensed one from Africa with the PO Drop Box in London?

Guess their IT Partner wasn't so capable and reliable either. Losing your web address/domain name, hacked from inside, website erased, etc.. Wonder what would have happened if they had used amateurs? So much for the people behind this being "Pro's."
