    GM Recalls

    GM recalls over 240,000 vehicles, the automaker announced today. (Read more at Millennium-Traders.Com)

    Economic data released today:

    U.S. ICSC/Goldman Sachs Chain Store Sales fell 1.3% in August 14 Week, U.S. ICSC/Goldman Sachs Chain Store Sales rose 3.3% on Year.

    Redbook:
    U.S. Retail Sales First 2 Weeks August rose 1.0% versus July; U.S. Retail Sales First 2 Weeks August rose 2.8% versus August Year-Ago; U.S. Retail Sales +2.7% Week End August 14 versus Year Ago.

    Building Permits:
    Building Permits fell 3.1% to 565K Rate in July.

    PPI (MoM):

    U.S. July Industrial Production rose 1.0%; Consensus rose 0.7%; U.S. June Industrial Production Revised to -0.1% from +0.1%.

    General Motors plans to recall about 250,000 crossover globally in order to inspect and fix their second-row seat belts. The recall involves 2009-2010 models of the Chevrolet Traverse, Buick Enclave, GMC Acadia and Saturn Outlook. These vehicles are sold in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and elsewhere.
