    Automakers

    Automakers saw a drop in June auto sales; two major companies saw declines over 10%. (Read more at Millennium-Traders.Com)

    Initial Jobless Claims:
    U.S. Jobless Claims rose 13K to 472K in Week of June 26; Compared to Survey of a decrease by 2K; U.S. June 19 Week Continuing Claims rose 43K to 4,616,000; U.S. June 19 Week Jobless Claims Revised to 459K from 457K.

    ISM Manufacturing Index/Prices:
    U.S. ISM June Inventories Index 45.8 versus May 45.6; U.S. ISM June Production Index 61.4 versus May 66.6; U.S. ISM June New Orders Index 58.5 versus May 65.7; U.S. ISM June Prices Index 57.0 versus May 77.5; U.S. ISM June Manufacturing PMI Expected 59.0; U.S. ISM June Manufacturing PMI 56.2 versus May 59.7; U.S. ISM June Employment Index 57.8 versus May 59.8; ISM: Manufacturing Recovery is 'Solidly Entrenched'.

    Pending Home Sales (MoM):
    U.S. May Pending Home Sales fell 15.9% from May 2009; U.S. Pending Home Sales Index fell 30.0% to 77.6 in May.

    Construction Spending (MoM):
    April Construction Spending Revised to rise 2.3% from an increase by 2.7%; U.S. Construction Spending fell 0.2% in May; Compared to Consensus of a decrease by 0.7%.

    Automakers have been in decline for some time now. No surprise there. Green is the way to go and until they all adopt fuel-efficiency as a major concern, they are going to continue suffering losses.
