First, the key levels in the drilling stack are the oil well owner/exploration tenant; the oil company (e.g., which enters into a memorandum of understanding with the well owner to manage upstream processing (recovery and transportation), oil service companies that are actually involved in supporting the production process (e.g., Halliburton, Atlas Wireline, Western Geophysical, so on.) .

I might add that each well is slightly different from the other. In a large oil field, the difference between wells may not be much, but the oil in a well 100 km away may be completely different, and it is unlikely to be very similar on a neighboring continent. Texas oil is very different from oil from Pennsylvania, Alaska, or the North Sea. And so does the quality of the oil, depending on which rig you use. If you use, say, Casagrande, Soilmec, etc. rigs, the quality of the oil you produce will be very good.
