Economic data released today:

U.S. Federal Reserve surprised investors when it raised the interest rate it charges banks for emergency loans. (Read more at Millennium-Traders.Com)

CPI [Consumer Price Index]:
U.S. Real Average Weekly Earnings rose 0.2% in January; U.S. January CPI Energy Prices rose 2.8%; U.S. January CPI Food Prices rose 0.2%; U.S. January Consumer Prices rose 0.2%; compared to consensus of an increase by 0.3%; U.S. January CPI Excluding-Food & Energy fell 0.1%; compared to consensus of an increase by 0.1%; U.S. January CPI Unrounded rose 0.167%; U.S. January CPI Unrounded Core fell 0.136%; Drop in Core Inflation Rate is First Since 1982.
