Jobs

Today's reports on the labor market improved investors' optimism about the economy's recovery, the amount of jobs lost this week was at its lowest levels since January. (Read more at Millennium-Traders.Com)

Economic data released today:

Initial Jobless Claims:
U.S. Jobless Claims fell 33K to 521K for week of October compared to survey of a decrease by 11K; U.S. Continuing Claims for week of September 26 fell 72K to 6,040,000; U.S. Jobless Claims Revised for week of Sep 26 to 554K from 551K.

Wholesale Inventories:
U.S. August Wholesale Inventories fell 1.3% was expected to fall by 1.0%; August Wholesale Sales rose 1.0%; increase is fourth consecutive; August Inventory-To-Sales Ratio 1.20, down from 1.23 in July.
