    Default Firefox or IE?

I've got IE on my laptop but am trying Firefox out on the pc. Anyone got any experience advice? Firefox is quicker and more secure than IE but it's not as easy to find your way around. I've got Windows XP.

    Any views be appreciated.

    Adster.

Firefox is a lot more stable that IE, but some programs wont run on it. I like the features that firefox offers as the password remembering is great. I just think it is a lot more stable. I seemed to crash or lock up with IE more.

You would just have to play with both and see which one you like

    hp007,

Thanks for the reply, is the password remembering totally secure? Must say more I read and tinker with it seems more impressive, as long as it's firewalled should be safe enough. Like the fact it doesn't use Active X either, tend to get loads of c rap from that.

    Anyone else???

    Hi all,

Started using Firefox last year and I'd never go back to IE. Sure, there are a few issues with it - but nothing like the ISSUES I had with IE! I love Firefox's tabbed browsing, plus the password saving features (which you can chose which sites to save passwords for and which ones not to). I also love Firefox for automatically finding plugins - extremely useful feature.

I can see Firefox taking more and more of the market share - and deservedly so. Firefox is the future. I recommend using it for at least a week - I'm sure you'll make the change as well as I did!

    Regards,

    Jon

I have been using FireFox, Opera & Konquerer. Never again will I use IE. After I used IE and ran SpyBot - it always had lots of spyware on my computer. When I would use FireFox and run SpyBoy - NADA!!!

    Default Firefox by far

I use Firefox on both my Windows and 5 of my Macintosh computers. I would never go back to IE. Firfox is much more stable, robust and a lot quicker.

There are some plug-ins missing, but not a big deal.

Thunderbird is also a great mail program if you are interested. (Made by the makers of Firefox)

    Happy browsing,

opera is great to use, its the only browser except IE where
you also can buy units with.

Plus, it has so many cool features, like very handy mouse movements,
you gotta love it. :D :D

Firefox rules! The tabbed browsing is the best thing for browsing forums - just right-click and Open In New Tab on each topic you want to view.

Plus, the security, speed and stability. Best browser ever!
