    Daily Market Commentary for March 10, 2009

    Traders and Day Traders in the USA are preparing themselves for possible reintroduction of the Uptick Rule.(read more at Millennium-Traders.Com)

    Economic data released today:

    ICSC-Goldman Store Sales:
    U.S. Chain Store Sales fell 0.9% on the year; U.S. Chain Store Sales for week of March 7 rose 0.2%.

    Redbook:
    U.S. Retail Sales fell 0.2% during first week of March versus February. On a year-on-year basis, retailer sales declined by 0.9% during the latest week. The weekly result followed a decline of 0.6% during the prior week as well as a 0.6% rise for the week before that.

    Wholesale Trade:
    U.S. January Wholesale Inventories fell 0.7% compared to what was expected at a drop by 1.0%.
