    Default "UN Sectretary General" sent me this:

    I just got this rather amusing email from someone in Nigeria who wants me to believe that he is Ban Ki-Moon and that the UN will send me $250,000 because they "found my name in their list":

    not understand why this mail came to you.We have been having a meeting
    for the past Seven months which ended Three days ago with the former
    secretary to the UNITED NATIONS in the person of Mr.Kofi Anna.

    This email is to all the people that have been scammed or extorted
    money from because of your contract payment e xecution in any part of
    the world, the UNITED NATIONS have agreed to compensate them with the sum of
    US$250,000.00

    This includes every foriegn contractors that may have not received
    their contract sum, and people that have had an unfinished transaction or
    international businesses that failed due to Government probelms or
    irregularities etc.

    We found your name in our list and that is why we are contacting you,
    this have been agreed upon and have been signed by the United Nations
    Board of Directors and Trustees.

    You have to contact Mr. Jim Ovia, our payment agent in West Africa, as
    he is our UNITED NATIONS representative in West Africa, contact him
    immediately for your Cheque/International Bank Draft of US$250,000.00
    This funds are in a Bank Draft for security purpose. He will send it to you and you can
    clear it in any bank of your choice.

    Therefore, you should send him your full Names and telephone
    numbers/your correct mailing address where you want him to send the
    Draft to you and tell him your file Reference below RC NO 11,225

    if i received mail like tht, i dnt think i will believe it.. i will just erase it and think its only a scam..

    That is precisely where this strategy, which is acting on that very minute percentage of 0,001% (of $$$-dummies) is still adequate to survive on... given the state, cost of living and the standards that both the Nigerians and copycats around the globe pull through daily with similar stunts from out of the 1,7 billion people that now goes online...!!

    Go figure what the success rate can be like?

    Still, it is a simple & humble task that is equally costless, to forewarn like posting and commenting the absurdity of these which we help the naive and ignorants somewhat to be aware and not foolishly fall victims on such gimmicks!!!

    It is esp. those who are desperately in dire $$$-stressed situations that could flip common sense and go insane with such preposterous offers
