Unemployment Claims Rise Unexpectedly

Initial Jobless Claims:
Labor Department Analyst: Claims Surge Due to One-Time Factors; U.S. April 23 Week Jobless Claims Revised to 431K from 429K; U.S. Jobless Claims rose 43K to 474K in April 30 Week; Compared to Survey of a decrease by 19K.

Continuing Jobless Claims:
U.S. April 23 Week Continuing Claims rose 74K to 3,733,000.

Nonfarm Productivity:
U.S. 4Q Non-Farm Productivity Revised to +2.9%.

Unit Labor Costs:
U.S. 4Q Unit Labor Costs Revised to -1.0%; U.S. 1Q Unit Labor Costs rose 1.0%; Compared to Consensus of an increase by 1.0%.

Bloomberg Consumer Confidence:
U.S. Bloomberg Consumer Comfort Index fell 46.2 Last Week.
