I need to know...

I don't know where to post this.. so I will post it here.
I want to get involved with affiliate marketing..
I do not have a website YET. What I mean, is promoting other businesses prodects.. I would have to ask my mom to pay..::cough:: Well I did, but she thinks Google Adwords is total scam.. zzz.
I am wondering how else I would promote... or get involved with that stuff.. I am guessing there is no other way, but to use Google Adwords to promote.. like everyone does, since that's how sites get seen.. I believe that's the only cheapest way to make money also.. is to promote and become their affiliate with their free sites through google adwords...
and... I am wondering if any of you know any other good sites to promote.
