AeroVironment Inc, a maker of unmanned aircraft systems, posted a 24 percent drop in quarterly profit, trailing market estimates, on higher expenses, and it lowered its full year revenue growth forecast, sending its shares down 29 percent.

After quarterly data released on Friday, with a report of a loss of over $91K from Q3 2008 compared to gains of $43K, $82K and $162K over previous three quarters, a lower trend is all but inevitable.

Salix Pharm, issues downside guidance for Q1, sees EPS of ($0.38)-($0.37) vs. ($0.29) consensus; sees Q1 revs of $46-47 mln vs. $49.40 mln consensus.

(PSS) - short
Collective *****s reports larger 4Q loss. Co reported losing $144 mln, or $2.28 per share in the same period a year ago the Co lost $46.6 mln, or 73 cents per share.

Major U.S. market indices were positive during the trading session today however, trading activity was very light. There was very little interest in trading activity today, for what ever reason. Possibly traders were exhausted over the trading action experienced over the past four days and simply, called it quits for the week.
