Water will become a traded commodity, like oil, gold and silver, it’s just a matter of time.
70% of earth may be covered by it, but less than 1% of it is readily available freshwater. This makes it a scarce resource.
It’s value to human life is unquestioned – oil, gold and silver we can live without – we die without it.
But to become a traded commodity it also needs to fulfil three criteria: standardised/interchangeable, tradeable and deliverable.

With the progression of industries, many natural substances like water, air, plants, etc. are being destructed by the pollution of environment. Industries are making economic growths but these growths sometimes are valued on the prices of natural destruction. There will be no doubt that in the future; in fact near future the prices of safe clean water can be more valuable than any other precious metal or natural assets like gas or oil.

The world is not giving enough inportance to the environment. They are not saving the water which is essential for the survival of life. We need to make dams and reservoirs for our future generation otherwise they will curse us forever. We need to think thoroughly about this issue.
