Things have neen a little quiet in the FOREX thread recently, so lets try to shake things up a little.

Starting with this thread, please feel free to post your own trading strategies and systems, for discussion and sharing ideas.

Hi derrekmay,

This is not for managed accounts. The intension is for people who trade FOREX themselves to share any trading systems they have developed or created themselves.

Ooh ok Sorry,
I missinterpreted the thread in a wrong way.
Annyway it is going to take a while before I can post anny results of an EA or strategy that works.
Because I'm still in the learning fase.

I too am learning and I am currently testing an interesting system I have developed.

I will post here when I am happy with it.

Maybe you can tel a little bit on how and what you are doing?
For example what pair do you use and what timeframe?

I usually trade three pairs:

EUR/USD, particularly from 6am GMT to around 10.30 GMT.
GBP/USD at the same times as above.
USD/JPY, sometimes at the same times, but usually from 13.00 GMT.

Saw some big moves this morning on EUR/USD from 1.4819 to 1.4896, 77 pips profit.
Also on USD/JPY, 108.63 to 107.67, 96 pips profit.

All the above are on 15m timeframes.

Both the above were caught by my system which gave good entry and exit signals, 173 pips total so far, and the afternoon session is yet to come.

My system is very simple, two moving averages, bollanger bands, Williams %R ans slow stochastic.

I intend to continue demo trading with this system for a while, and will post more details soon.

I use technical analysis and indicator such as MACD, Fibonacci, and RSI.

I too use technical analysis and rarely trade the news.

How reliable do you find Fibonacci?

Here is a once per day breakout for GBP/JPY and the Asian Session

At 10PM GMT (My broker's new daily candle)

Set Buy Stop at Daily open +50
Set Sell Stop at Daily open -50

Target +75 pips
Stop loss -35 pips

25 pip trailing stop

Actually this strategy loses more often than it wins, but is still very profitable since 3 losses in a row are needed to wipe out 1 winning trade and the losses can be minimised by the trailing stop if the Asia moves are too small. Clever risk management is the key here.
