Arrow PayPal exchange question!

When you are exchanging PayPal for a different e-currency, there are some people that have a say "36 hour hold" on the PayPal money. I don't understand this and hope someone can explain why some do this.

I am thinking that it may be because of dishonest intent with getting the money out of the pp account before the other person has time to complain and get the funds back.

This "holding" is subject to being just WHO is who and dealing with a non "Verified" PayPal account holder to one that is an accredited Exchanger doing business.

The person who wants to exchange and is "Bidding", is always the person to be subjected to the exchange protocol and if both are well known on this field or discipline with exchanging, then it becomes a matter of giving the benefit of the doubt to the EXCHANGER who holds the trump card.

That is his/her routine business... unless you are the "Verified" PayPal account holder/person who offers the PayPal which the other person is seeking in return for an E-Currency... then, YOU ARE the one that dictates the time-out duration.

A swift exchange is always better of course, say, within half an hour, after it has been agreed to conduct this arrangement.

Yes, a delayed tactic is always viewed as a time out to make a getaway and disappear for good... hence, don't do Exchange business with an unknown and esp. one who is NOT PayPal Verified either.

Seller need time to check that is your Paypal account is truely YOURS. Because you may use a illegal PP account to send money to them and make their PP become limited. When PP become limited, it is a big fish to fry. And you have a big stone to bring with Paypal. For example, scan your document, they call you to check, Scan your Passport ... In summary, if your PP get limited, you r in trouble :))

Good and valid point raised there "askmen".

That is the usual approach, cumbersome but safe too and time is money and money is all we are talking about... but swift and safe without being scam is another larger consideration.

When we introduce REESE soon, that will be a smooth step into convenience, assurance and done away with the current cumbersome approach that takes too long for liking either... worst still, gets scammed at the end of it...even by the crooked Exchanger.
