Actually, i am really, really very new to HYIP and i am always very confused in understanding what exactly is HYIP and how can earn from it. I tried many forums and resources to find and gain from HYIP but no use, i hope i get clarification and my doubts cleared here!
HYIP stands for High-yield Investment Program. Many people consider this kind of programs to be scams. It is because of their business model. The business models are many HYIP's I have seen are operated like below. "You have to join under a person by paying some thousand Dollars (just for example). And the money you paid goes to the person under who you joined or the money is shared by some people above you. Then if you succeeded if getting some join under you, you get the money that guy paid (or the money is shared by some of the persons above him along with you).
Most of the HYIP's work like this. You just have to pay some money (for nothing) to earn money. But to earn money you have recruit members under you who are ready to pay that big sum set by the program operators. In many countries these kinds of programs are illegal. But those program makers take advantage of the loop holes of law and disguise them as genuine money making programs.
