Ok… you are a newbie or rookie, and you want to make money online, and you feel clueless. Can you still make money with the Internet?

Well, that’s a great question! The Internet as we know it today is in my opinion one of the most lucrative places to make money on the planet period! If you think the emerging economic powerhouses like India and China are big, then you need to think even bigger!

The potential of the Internet for making money for the average person is mind boggling. Again, this remains nothing but a “potential”. However there are people who have taken advantage of this boom. According to Internet Usage World Stats - Internet and Population Statistics , out of the total world population (6.5 billion), there are over 1billion users that are connected on the Internet, and this will continue to increase exponentially, especially with the revolution of social networks that continue to create an extremely vibrant and active Internet community

Having 1 billion users as your potential market place is simply mind-boggling!! It gets even better!! According to BizReport - News & Insight for Online Marketers , the internet penetration rate ( i.e the number of people connecting to the Internet) is growing at a rate of 10-15 % a month!! If those numbers are not making your head spin, then I don’t know what will. Even the developing countries are starting to get on the broadband wagon with several projects too numerous to mention.

So, why am I so excited, and why am I giving you all this information? Well, I just want you to know that if there is hope for you to make money online. Even if you have already lost money online, and you scam radar is beeping all the time.

You need to know that that there is an online global market place so diverse that you will have an audience for whatever it is you want to share, offer or help people with - the issue is knowing where and how to find your audience.

What you must know is that as we speak, there are literally millions of people making millions of dollars on the Internet today, and you will not be the first, and neither will you be the last. Even if you are not looking to make millions online, knowing the potential will allow you to believe in your dream to make money online whether it be a few hundred dollars, a few thousand, or a few million.

So, the big question is what is it that people are doing to make money online today, and how can you join the revolution:


Internet marketing – This is probably the most popular and most educational way to make money on the internet. No matter what you do online, you will have to let people know about this, and the skills you learn as an Internet marketer will enable you to announce yourself on the Internet without having to be a seasoned salesman.

There are tools and services that exist that can be further tailored to fit any market. For example, let’s say you want to learn how to sell your knowledge on customizing/tuning cars. You can go to an all-in-one website that contains all the information you need to know on how to create a website, host it, create an informational product (training video, e-book etc) that can show people how to customize their cars. There exists many of these 30-day blue print steps that you can follow that will be able to get you up and running in way you would have never imagined.

You must always keep in mind however that in order to make money in this domain, you will need to take responsibility for your education, and treat your website like a REAL business. OH…and before I forget, one of the fundamentals of marketing in general, which equally applies to Internet Marketing is < market research>

Don’t fall for all the hype and all the promises out there. Basically, if you can think of anything that you believe will help people, then you can make a product out of this want.

To make things even better, there are techniques that exist to actually find out what people are searching for on the Internet before actually bringing it to them. So, in the example of the customized cars given above, you may find out after using these research tools that people are actually looking for specific information on how to customize Japanese cars.

This will greatly help you, because you will not waste time creating a product that shows people how to customize German cars. So, by filling an existing need that has been clearly identified, you stand a better chance of making money.

Apart from those that go online to specific sites like e-bay, yahoo, msn or ticket and music websites purposely to buy things, the majority of people are looking for information that will help them solve a problem or improve a current situation. So, the more precise you are in your research the more your results are guaranteed.

The hardest part of making money on the Internet is actually the research and the study of your target market. Once this work is out of the way you just need to learn how to package your product and deliver it to your clients in the most efficient manner. “Efficient” meaning that you have a system in place that enables you to establish and continue a genuine and sincere relationship with your customers.

Of course there is a lot more to this in Internet Marketing, but knowing this much can already have you making money on the Internet.


Network marketing – I don’t need to introduce or define network marketing as I believe that EVERYBODY has in some way shape or form heard about Network marketing or more affectionately MLM (Multi level Marketing).

Network marketing has always been about selling physical products or services to as many people as possible, while teaching these people to do the same and so on and so on.

The only change one can notice for most network marketing companies on the Internet is that they now encourage their representatives to tap into the power of the Internet by using Internet marketing techniques.

This has not only exploded profits for a lot of offline network marketing companies, but it has also led to the birth of Internet based network marketing companies. Those who are truly succeeding in the network marketing industry online, are those that are utilizing foundational principles of network marketing such as: relationship building, training, motivation, and team building.

What needs to be done here is to really take the time to study the existing network marketing opportunities according to our preferences, and choose which ones we would like to be associated with. There are a few network marketing companies online whose representatives have been able to build huge downlines without necessarily having to chase their “warm market” to death. So yes, there are people leveraging the power of the Internet to exponentially boost their revenues, and you can too. All you need is to really do your research properly, and join the RIGHT team.

Online trading – Many people don’t know about this, but trading the markets online can be an extremely lucrative business, and there are a lot of people who have made fortunes from the markets. I personally know of a group of people who consistently make incredible profits on a daily and consistent basis from day trading stocks, the E-mini markets, or the Forex markets.
The stock market does require that you have enough disposable income. In other words, most brokers accept a minimum trading balance of several thousand dollars or in some cases tens of thousands of dollars before trading. Despite these high requirements, with proper training, you can make phenomenal amounts of money, and the key here is to find REAL people that you can talk to and possibly meet that can show you how to “day trade” the stock market

On a smaller but still extremely profitable scale, you have the E-mini markets (S&P 500 and Nasdaq futures trading) which have a high level of liquidity and volatility, which is what makes it extremely profitable. Without getting into too many details, the key thing here is finding a team of fellow traders who do this for a living. You will greatly benefit from their experience, the team spirit, the tips and tricks, and above all, the MENTALITY that you will need to consistently trade your way to huge profits.

Trading the Forex ( Foreign Exchange) market is yet another extremely powerful way to make money online. The forex market is a trillion dollar a day market, and there is enough money circulating around for all of you to take your share if you know how.

There are a few great systems out there that will educate you and enable you to trade the Forex market like a pro. Again, when it comes to trading the markets in general, you really have to do your research first on the different genuine systems and avoid people who are making more money selling you their system than they are making trading themselves.

From my experience, learning too much about these markets can make you suffer from serious information overload as there are a million theories, tactics and schools of thought out there. Not that you should be ignorant and stay that way when it comes to the markets, but your best move if you have no knowledge whatsoever of day trading is to find a team of experts whose philosophy or style fits you.

You will then learn and follow their techniques to the letter until you start making money. Once you start making money consistently, you can start experimenting different techniques and creating your OWN trading style. I have seen people start off by reading books upon books, and finally being paralyzed when it came down to trading because of their fear due to the overwhelming information they had absorbed in a disorganized manner.

Choose what goes the most with your personality and passion, and determine in your heart to learn AND apply all you can. You will make mistakes, but take the time to set your goals and objectives, and you will get there!
