Back in April, 2005, I joined Jerky DirectTM, and named my Storefront 'success'! After almost 18 months of enjoying the many flavors of jerky, I finally got serious about building my business. (Please don't wait that long!) I had a very quiet upline who enjoyed their jerky, but who weren't willing to go any further than that.

I had been promoting, but sporadically and not very effectively. By the fall of 2006, I had only 4 people in my downline.

In December 2006, with considerable help from, and brainstorming with, two new members, we formed the concept of a real Team, doing real Teamwork to help us Succeed. The SuccessJerky Team was born!

As the one at the top of the Team, I encourage all the members of my downline to find a way they are comfortable with promoting the products and the opportunity OFFLINE at first. We want to see every member bring two other people into their Jerky DirectTM business. In essence, this proves they are serious and deserve the Team's help!

In the meantime, I will be heavily promoting all members' businesses both offline and online. Once a member has enrolled his/her first two people, he/she should continue with their offline efforts but may, if they want, move some efforts to working online as well. Should they decide to build their business online, I will provide them with the necessary information, materials, and tools to use.

Any member can offer their own (offline and online) ideas for the Team to develop and use and we can work together to make each item better.

Members are free to use whatever materials/tools they want to use and can concentrate on whatever area of promotion they are comfortable with.

Many of the members use Business cards, flyers, postcards and other printed materials in their offline efforts. Some sell retail through their own outlets or on consignment at other businesses. Others find flea markets or fundraising to their liking.

Most of the members working online use Traffic Exchanges, while some are using Safelists, Classified Ads, Offline Ads, and Banner Exchanges, among many possibilities.

Members can also participate in low-cost newspaper ad co-ops that I manage.

We, I and several other Leaders, started off thinking WE could promote for everybody and, in essence, build the 'perfect 6x7 matrix' you can see on other pages. But that never works and we soon realized it!

We found that those who never do anything never get anything done!

We can and do promote for all others in our downlines, but we need to see activity and that folks are trying before we make that commitment. In addition to developing offline networks and bringing in two other people, we want to see a person participate in the Team Forum, respond to our emails, call us on the phone or Skype. Then we will help them out!

If you are thinking that you can join our Team and have us do all the work to make you succeed, you are sadly mistaken!

There are some tire-kickers, or 'Jerky Lickers' as I call them, responding to our efforts and coming into the Team and we don't mind. We want, however, to help you all see the benefits of being a 'Jerky Chugger' (you need to join us and see the Forum to read what this all means, but you probably get the idea!) and really getting serious about this as a Business!

Answer:
Maybe because you like the jerky!
Maybe because you want to buy more jerky (to eat) at wholesale prices!

Maybe because you want to sell on consignment at others' stores!
Maybe because you are involved in fundraising efforts in your community!

How do I become a Jerky DirectTM Storefront Owner?

Answer:
Simply Enroll at your sponsor's website to have two 3-4oz bags of jerky (your choice of flavor/style) sent to your doorstep or mailbox every month. There is a $12 charge for the two bags of jerky you receive (plus shipping - see below) - this is the only charge you will ever need to pay for maintaining your Jerky DirectTM Business. You may cancel your Storefront at any time.

Note: We recommend you contact your sponsor first, as they may want you to enter a name in the "Placed Under" field other than their own. (Many sponsors use this to help their downline members build their own organizations.)

Are there any requirements I must meet to remain a Storefront Owner?

Answer:
Only that you continue to receive your autoshipment of jerky every month.

Does Jerky DirectTM have quotas for their Storefront Owners?

Answer:
No. Jerky DirectTM Storefront Owners are free to run their business as they wish. They can sell as much or as little as they wish. Some remain a Storefront Owner just to receive their own jerky autoshipment every month and to purchase for themselves at wholesale.

How much is shipping?

Answer:
All monthly autoshipments, no matter how large, are shipped at a flat rate of $1.97 per order. Retail and wholesale orders are shipped at the prevailing UPS rates.

Question:
How much is it to get a website?

Answer:
Nothing. Jerky DirectTM provides every Storefront Owner with a free company sponsored website for as long as they retain their storefront. The website is up and running immediately upon signing up. When you sign up for Jerky DirectTM, you will be able to pick any name for your website that you would like (e.g., http://[yourstorename].jerkydirect.com). This allows for some creative advertising, too! Your website also has a backoffice to help you run your business and track your customers, as well as your downline history and commissions.

Am I allowed to advertise my Jerky DirectTM Storefront?

Answer:
Absolutely. You can advertise however you want and wherever you want. Flyers, banner ads, classified ads, TV ads, radio ads and anything else you can think of. If you advertise online, however, do NOT send unsolicited commercial email (UCE), aka SPAM.

Can I sell on eBay and other online auctions?

Answer:
Yes, but please check individual auction site regulations and policies, as they may have restrictions, and be sure to abide by them.
Note: Both eBay and Stormpay seem to have accepted at least some of the auctions our Storefront Owners are running.

What else does Jerky DirectTM offer its Storefront Owners?

Answer:
Jerky DirectTM will provide you with printable templates for your business cards (both front and back!), letterhead, envelopes, brochures, flyers - all FREE.

As with most other companies, there are also Promotional Items you can purchase - caps, shirts, printed brochures, presentation CDs, booklets, display racks, etc. These are available in all members' back offices.

Plus, Jerky DirectTM offers one of the most lucrative payout commissions available (See next Question).

So how much can I expect to earn by being a Jerky DirectTM Storefront Owner?

Answer:
What you earn is a direct result of your OWN efforts. You may ask for and receive Lots of help and support, but YOUR efforts determine YOUR paycheck.

Here are the ways you can earn money:

- Storefront Owners can purchase at wholesale prices and sell at retail prices.

- Storefront Owners receive a 20% commission on all online retail orders placed through their websites.

- Storefront Owners receive 5% commission on all wholesale purchases made by their first generation downline (the people directly under them).

- Storefront Owners receive 5% commission on all online retail purchases made through their first generation downline's websites.

- Storefront Owners receive a bonus on every Storefront Owner they help sign up into their downline - up to seven (7) generations deep**.

**For every person that signs up under you for a $12 autoshipment of jerky, you will receive a bonus. It goes like this...

The SuccessJerky Team, also known as The SJTeam, is a group of Jerky DirectTM distributors who are working together to help everyone on the Team.

The upline members of the Team provide training and guidance on all aspects of offline and online promotions to all Team members, mostly for free. (Some activities may require small payments in order to participate in them.)

In addition, we have a dedicated forum, a Team newsletter, several Team blogs, and more is being planned. The members of The SuccessJerky Team flat out Help each other! We don't expect other members or your sponsor to work FOR you, but we can assure you that they will work WITH you!
