They are called "Belgians" in most countries when easily termed with shepherd dogs from Belgium.

Their true canine description as categorised under the Breed Standards is "Groenendael", one of four vareities that falls under this Belgian Dog Group of Belgian origin.

It has the size of the Australian Dingo and is amazingly larger with the huge mane on the males but looks devastatingly beautiful with a near perfect black coat which is also frightening at night when those eyes are the only visible reflection for any intruder....

Great Guard dogs these are, and yet very sociable if brought up under good training methods!
